Just over 20 years ago, Uncle Larry and Aunt Phyllis Wohlscheid purchased this property for their new home. After building a new home, tearing the original down, and making improvements to the two barns on site, family and friends started asking to use the barn and property for family gatherings and weddings. About nine years ago, Don and Dawn Worthington saw a vision, completed additional renovations to the barn, and launched the wedding and event venue you see today. Sadly, Uncle Larry has since passed and the Worthingtons are ready to move into semi-retirement. After hosting our daughter's wedding here this spring, our family and dear friends decided that this venture was worth continuing. We want to offer an affordable option for events that still provides elegance and class without "breaking the bank." As of November 1, 2026, I will be taking over as owner of The Dreamfield Acres.
